This is a quick look at a DIY CNC machine I've been working on — an MPCNC, an open-source carving and engraving platform built from 3D-printed parts, home-store conduit, and off-the-shelf stepper motor hardware. I'm running mine on a customized ESP32-based version of GRBL rather than the more common controller software, and while the demo itself is just the machine carving a design, it's really a showcase of how far open-source CNC hardware and software have come. More detailed build videos are on the way.
