I used some scraps leftover from pen blanks to make some two-toned refrigerator magnets in the shape of mushrooms. It’s a good way to use up those tiny pieces of scrap wood, and a nice skill builder as well. And they’re just kinda…cute.
This project uses straight cuts, convex cuts, and concave cuts, and while they’re really pretty simple, it’s practical example of basic woodturning techniques. I use the spindle gouge which I made the handle for in a previous video, and a skew chisel exclusively.
